We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Christchurch-based team, working across a strong pipeline of projects in the 3 waters, education, infrastructure, and commercial sectors. This is an opportunity to be part of a collaborative, high-performing team delivering meaningful outcomes for clients across the region.
You will work closely with experienced senior leaders while having the autonomy to manage your own projects, develop client relationships, and contribute to the continued growth of the South Island business.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects from early planning through to completion. This includes managing scope, programme, budget, and stakeholder relationships, while ensuring projects are delivered safely and to a high standard.
You will be involved across a range of project types, including infrastructure and three waters initiatives, education facilities, and commercial developments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing projects through all phases, from feasibility and design through to construction and close-out
- Coordinating consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders
- Supporting procurement processes and contract administration
- Monitoring programme, cost, and risk, and reporting to clients
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment
About You
We are looking for a well-rounded Project Manager who is confident working across multiple sectors and enjoys working in a client-facing consultancy environment.
You will bring:
- Approximately 4–8 years’ experience in project management, engineering, construction management, or a related field
- A relevant tertiary qualification in construction, engineering, property, or a related discipline
- Experience delivering projects from inception through to completion
- Strong stakeholder and client management skills, with a collaborative approach
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of project financials
- Clear and professional communication skills
- A proactive mindset, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Experience within infrastructure or three waters projects would be advantageous but is not essential.
