About the Opportunity

A rare opportunity exists for an experienced National HR Manager to join the growing People and Development team. Reporting to the CEO, the National HR Manager will play a pivotal role in driving a People strategy aligned with ANZ business objectives. This is an ideal opportunity to work for a prestigious global organisation and be part of a collaborative and close-knit People and Development team.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Develop and execute a people strategy for ANZ ensuring alignment wider business goals.
  • Lead the Australian People & Development team to deliver all HR and Talent operations.
  • Champion a new global Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and initiatives that promote diversity, inclusion, and staff wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with senior management to create a positive workplace culture.
  • Oversee recruitment efforts across ANZ.
  • Lead all aspects of talent management, including succession planning and talent development.
  • Undertake regular HR Analytics reporting and present findings and trends to senior management.
  • Manage escalated people related matters such as: disciplinaries, performance management, grievances, and complex employee relations issues.

What Sets You Apart

  • Degree in HR, Business, Law, or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of generalist HR experience
  • 2+ years in a management position
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Well organised and able to balance multiple tasks and meets strict deadlines
  • The ability to build and maintain relationships and work confidently with people at all levels
  • The ability to influence, network, negotiate, counsel and mediate
