About the Opportunity
Due to company growth, a unique opportunity exists for a full time Project Manager to join Savills dynamic and dedicated Projects team in Brisbane. We are offering an experienced Project Manager the chance to accelerate their career, with a clear pathway to a Senior Project Manager position. This role will provide the opportunity to work across a range of technical and interesting construction projects across QLD.
Key responsibilities will include;
- Manage all phases of the project to ensure that the client’s objectives are met
- Brief development, implementing procurement protocols through to tender and award and the effective management of project teams
- Manage the appointment of consultants on behalf of clients in conjunction with the staff allocated to the project
- Assist in the preparation of programs for the design, construction and general delivery of projects
- Advise clients on the most appropriate option for the design and the construction of their project and provide concise reports
- Manage the handover of the works including defect rectification and operational training where appropriate
What Sets You Apart
- Tertiary qualifications in a property or a construction related discipline
- Previous experience as a Project Manager (preferably client-side)
- Strong understanding and proven experience with a range of delivery methodologies, in particular, Head Contract, ECI and Design and Construct models are preferable.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen
- Excellent communication skills; written, listening and verbal
- Be well presented and have a positive attitude
- Experience of all stages of projects from planning, design management and procurement through to handover
- Demonstrated project or precinct experience in tertiary education, accommodation (Residential / PBSA or BTR), commercial & workplace and/or medical research facilities will be viewed favourably
- Demonstrated ability to grow business and personal relationships
