We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our Christchurch-based team, supporting the delivery of a strong pipeline of projects across the 3 waters, education, infrastructure, and commercial sectors. This is an exciting opportunity for an emerging project professional looking to build their skills and gain exposure to a diverse range of meaningful projects while working within a collaborative, high-performing team.
In this role, you will work closely with experienced Project Managers and senior leaders, assisting with project planning, coordination, stakeholder engagement, and delivery. You will be supported to develop your technical and commercial capabilities, build client relationships, and progressively take on greater responsibility as you grow your career.
What You’ll be Doing
- Assisting Project Managers in the successful delivery of projects
- Involvement in all phases of design, construction and commissioning of building and construction projects, to agreed cost, time and quality targets
- Assisting in the administration of consultant and construction contracts
- Coordination of project responsibilities
- Understand and implement the Company’s policies
What You’ll Bring
- Previous experience in project management, construction or client-side consulting
- Relevant industry-related tertiary qualifications
- Exemplary written and verbal communication and customer service skills
- Intermediate level skills in Microsoft software packages
- Exceptional organisational skills and professional presentation
- A team oriented approach and proactive work ethic
- Able to work independently and demonstrate initiative to drive personal productivity
