Due to continued company growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Senior Project Manager or Project Director with experience in residential and accommodation projects to join Savills’ dynamic and high-performing Projects team in Brisbane.
This role offers an experienced Senior Project Manager or Project Director the opportunity to take the next step in their career or embrace a new challenge within a collaborative, market-leading environment.
You will gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of technically complex and engaging construction projects across Queensland, working alongside a dedicated and supportive team committed to delivering outstanding results.
What You’ll be Doing
- Project delivery experience in major precincts, mixed-use developments, residential, hotel or accommodation projects.
- Manage all phases of the project to ensure that the client’s objectives are met
- Brief development, implementing procurement protocols through to tender and award and the effective management of project teams
- Manage the appointment of consultants on behalf of clients in conjunction with the staff allocated to the project
- Assist in the preparation of programs for the design, procurement, construction and general delivery of projects
- Advise clients on the most appropriate procurement strategy and contracting method / type for the design and the construction of their project and provide concise reports
- Manage the handover of the works including defect rectification and operational training where appropriate
- Deliver mentorship and development support to junior team members
- Serve as a representative of Savills at industry events and professional forums
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through proactive networking, relationship building, and market engagement, driving growth and expanding the client bas
What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in a property or a construction related discipline
- Previous experience as a Project Manager at the SPM or PD level (preferably client-side)
- Exposure to residential / accommodation sectors (Build to Sell, Build to Rent, PBSA, Hotel, Affordable Living, Mixed Use)
- Demonstrated capability in delivering projects across multiple procurement and delivery models, including Head Contract, Early Contractor Involvement (ECI), Design and Construct (D&C), Managing Contractor, Construction Management and hybrid structures.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen
- Excellent communication skills; written, listening and verbal
- Be well presented and have a positive attitude
- Experience of all stages of projects from planning through to handover
- Demonstrated ability to grow business relationships
