Why This Role Matters

As Centre Manager on the Gold Coast within the Savills Asset Management team, this role leads the day‑to‑day management and performance of a retail centre, overseeing the onsite team and ensuring the asset is operated to the highest professional standards. Supported by the Portfolio Manager, this is an opportunity to lead a high profile retail asset within one of Australia’s best-known tourist-driven precincts, where no two days are the same and strong centre management can make a meaningful difference to the performance of the asset.

The position is accountable for facilities, operations, risk and financial performance, including budgeting, cost control and accurate reporting, while meeting KPIs and management agreement requirements. The role offers broad exposure across operations, retailers, contractors, owners and other key stakeholders, making it well suited to an experienced retail property professional who enjoys being hands on while also leading from the front. It is a great opportunity for an experienced Centre Manager, passionate about what they do that is looking for a new challenge, within a global business with a remit for growth.

What You’ll be Doing

  • Overseeing the management of the asset and lead the onsite team
  • Ensuring the centre is managed and operated to the very highest of professional standards
  • Maintaining strict adherence to KPIs and Management Agreements
  • Overseeing of facilities/operations and risk management
  • Preparing and implementing budgets, business plans, and owner reports
  • Presenting property performance to key stakeholders
  • Maintaining accurate lease and correspondence records
  • Controlling operating costs and ensure financial reporting accuracy
  • Working closely with retailers to support day-to-day trading outcomes, tenancy matters and centre standards
  • Building strong working relationships with contractors, service providers, landlords and other external stakeholders
  • Contributing as part of a multidisciplinary team across centre management, facilities, administration, leasing and finance
  • Identifying opportunities to improve presentation, performance and the overall customer and retailer experience

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in retail centre management or similar
  • Proven team leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong financial management and budgeting expertise
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Retailer-focused approach with a thorough understanding of the Retail Shop Leases Act
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; MRI software experience is a plus
