Why This Role Matters

The Property Accountant role is key to supporting the financial integrity of our client’s portfolios. You’ll ensure accurate reporting, dependable cashflow management, and clear financial insights that help the team deliver strong outcomes for clients. The role suits someone detail‑driven, organised, and confident working independently, with strong communication skills and a solid grounding in accounting principles. Property industry experience and familiarity with MRI are essential, but what matters most is your ability to provide reliable, high‑quality financial support in a fast‑paced environment. We are flexible as to where this position is located, you can be based out of Savills Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne or Perth offices. 

What You’ll be Doing

  • Preparing accruals, prepayments and provide month end reports to clients along with variance commentaries
  • Assisting the property management team in the preparation of budgets, forecasts and outgoings reconciliations
  • Liaising with the property management team to drive client satisfaction through aligned goals and seamless collaboration.
  • Preparing of Bank Reconciliations for review
  • Processing lease administration tasks to ensure accurate tenancy schedule reporting to the client
  • Processing of Rent up, raising of ad hoc charges and issuing tenant invoices
  • Assisting and perform ad hoc client reporting requirements
  • Adhering to strict policies and procedures to ensure compliance

What You’ll Bring

  • + 3 years experience in similar role
  • Property industry experience essential, retail sector experience highly regarded
  • Working knowledge in using MRI essential
  • Experience across both cash and accrual accounting essential
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Must be able to work independently with excellent time management skills
