We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our Sydney team on an initial three‑month contract, with the view that the role may transition to permanent for the right candidate. Stepping into a fast‑paced and hands‑on environment, you will play a key role in managing the month‑end process, strengthening financial controls, statutory and management reporting and supporting core financial operations during a critical period. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in and ownership of their work, can hit the ground running, provide immediate value, and contribute to high‑quality outcomes while being considered for a long‑term position. The ideal candidate will be available immediately or with short notice.

What You’ll be Doing

• Assisting resolution of audit queries and collating supporting documentation for audit requests
• Hands-on involvement in month‑end close processes and preparation of financial statements.  
• Preparation and review of high-quality monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation and review of monthly and quarterly reporting packs to required standards.
• Providing support to the financial controller on ad-hoc tasks, such as providing responses to data requests and investigating issues raised by internal stakeholders
• Using Dynamics 365, Calumo, Hyperion, and Excel to prepare, analyse, and present financial information.
• Providing oversight and supporting across AP and AR functions when required.
• Preparation or assistance in preparing/review of income tax /BAS/FBT returns
• Partnering with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and guidance.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen internal controls.

What You’ll Bring

• + 5 years experience in a Finance Manager position.
• End to end ownership, with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in all financial outputs.
• Clear and confident communication, with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Commercial awareness and sound judgement in financial decision‑making.
• A proactive, adaptable approach and the ability to work independently.
