An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated Operations Manager, who will assist with the management of the highly successful Canberra Centre. Add value by providing strategic oversight and leading a team of facilities & maintenance staff.
What You’ll be Doing
- Maintain the presentation and operational function of the centre to a high standard by managing day-to-day maintenance activities
- Participate in operational contract reviews and monthly meetings to achieve industry best practice in building management
- Develop, prepare and implement the Centre’s annual expenditure and capital budgets within the parameters of set guidelines
- Establish and implement sustainability initiatives
- Deliver Expenditure Budgets and Capital Projects
- Prepare proposals and recommendations in conjunction for “Owners” approval for all works of a Capital Expenditure nature
- Monitor performance standards for external providers and service providers for all works within the centre
- Ensure preventative maintenance programmes are being completed and reports received
- Have a risk and safely focus
- Lead and mentor the Facilities and Maintenance team
What You’ll Bring
- Prior experience as Operations Manager in a retail shopping centre or similar
- Sound judgement, business acumen and excellent numeracy and communication skills
- The ability to build solid relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Broad technical knowledge of OH&S requirements.
- Broad knowledge of Australian Standards relating to services and Building Code of Australia (BCA).
- Workplace Health and Safety Certificate
