Why This Role Matters
Savills is looking for an AML Compliance Officer to support its Australian operations. Working within the Legal team and reporting to the General Counsel, you will help ensure the business meets its AML/CTF obligations and maintains strong compliance standards. In this role, you will support AML/CTF policy development, oversee client due diligence and onboarding reviews, monitor compliance risks, and provide clear guidance on regulatory requirements. You will also deliver training and act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across the business.

What You’ll be Doing
- Reporting to the General Counsel
- Plays a key part in ensuring the company’s compliance with AML/CTF regulations and best practice
- Support the establishment of policies, procedures, and processes involved with AML / CTF regulations
- Oversee risk evaluation and client onboarding, including reviewing client CDD
- Provide guidance on regulatory requirements and legislative updates
- Deliver training to internal stakeholders
- Provide advice to senior leaders
- Help to maintain strong and effective AML / CTF framework and compliance across the business
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in financial crime, compliance, or as a PQE lawyer.
- Qualifications in commerce, finance, business, law, or a related discipline.
- A solid understanding of the Australian AML/CTF Act and regulatory expectations.
- Demonstrated experience in AML/CTF compliance, including risk assessments, monitoring and reporting.
- Experience in implementing AML/CTF programs and frameworks (highly regarded).
- A strong commitment to meeting regulatory deadlines while maintaining accuracy and high-quality standards.
- Excellent analytical and reasoning skills, with a sharp attention to detail.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across the business.
- An understanding of the real estate sector, or a genuine interest in the property industry.
