About the Opportunity

A unique opportunity exists for a full time Trust Accountant to join our National Finance team in our Sydney head office. The purpose of this role is to maintain the records of Savills sales trust accounts and ensure compliance with legislative requirements. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Daily receipting of holding deposits and issuing of trust receipts to purchasers
  • Daily processing of trust releases of holding deposits on settlement
  • Accurate recording of all transactions including ledger journals
  • Correspondence with clients and internal stakeholders to obtain required property settlement confirmations and approvals 
  • Correspondence with vendors to confirm bank details
  • Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations, ledger month end close and year end roll overs
  • Correspondence with external auditors for sign-off on monthly and annual audit requirements
  • Maintaining records to adhere to property sales legislative requirements and following company procedures

What Sets You Apart 

  • 1-2 years’ full-time experience as a Trust Accountant in both sales and leasing across different states
  • Experience across property sales and leasing transitions essential 
  • Detailed understanding of trust legislation across Australia and New Zealand
  • Microsoft Dynamics experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • High level of organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills
