About the Opportunity

A unique opportunity exists for a full time Project Manager to join our growing success and become a part of our vibrant working environment. Working within the dynamic and dedicated Projects team in Brisbane, this role will allow you to showcase your existing skills and further develop your career with a great company.  

Key responsibilities will include;

  • Manage all phases of the project to ensure that the client’s objectives are met
  • Brief development, implementing procurement protocols through to tender and award and the effective management of project teams
  • Ensure a Project Management Plan has been prepared for the effective delivery of all projects
  • Manage the appointment of consultants on behalf of clients in conjunction with the staff allocated to the project
  • Prepare and monitor forecasts, initiate corrective action where required
  • Assist in the preparation of programs for the design, construction and general delivery of projects
  • Advise clients on the most appropriate option for the design and the construction of their project and provide concise reports to Clients
  • Manage documentation for the selection of contractors, in liaison with the Client and administer contracts 
  • Manage the handover of the works including defect rectification and operational training where appropriate
  • Provide leadership to the internal and external project team to effectively deliver projects

What Sets You Apart 

  • Tertiary qualifications in a property or a construction related discipline
  • Previous industry experience (preferably client-side)   
  • Strong understanding and proven experience with a range of delivery methodologies, in particular, Head Contract, ECI and Design and Construct is preferable.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen
  • Excellent communication skills; written, listening and verbal
  • Be well presented and have a positive attitude
  • Experience of all stages of projects from planning through to handover
  • Demonstrated project or precinct experience in education, commercial & workplace, health, retail, residential or hotel sectors will be viewed favourably
  • Demonstrated ability to grow business relationships
